Make any occasion special by crafting handmade touches that every guest will love! With our six-week Cricut course, we’ll introduce you to a range of ways your digital cutting machine can transform the details of any occasion.

The course will focus on a different aspect of crafting each week, with workshops focused on paper flowers, gifting, and table décor. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your Cricut machine a little better, no matter your crafting ability, and it’s sure to make your occasions or gifts even more memorable.

The Hobbycraft Artisan leading your workshops will be on hand to guide you through the steps of each project, demonstrating a range of craft techniques. As well as learning how to craft 3D papercrafts, how to achieve incredible results with heat transfers, how to use Design Space and much more, this is also a great opportunity to discover creative inspiration ahead of any celebration.

Workshop Overview

Week 1: You’ll learn how to craft 3D roses from paper, learning how to resize images for larger 3D florals and layering cardstock.

Week 2: The theme will be gifting. Learn how to make personalised canvas bags using iron-on vinyl and how to use the weld function on Cricut Design Space, while also picking up top tips for working with iron-on vinyl.

Week 3: Master memorable guest table decoration. You’ll be learning how to make table numbers and favour boxes from scratch. This tutorial also takes you through how to use the slice and group functions on Cricut Design Space, as well as sharing tips for using Transfer Tape and Adhesive Vinyl.

Week 4: Discover how to take your room décor to the next level! Learn how to make bunting and a personalised frame. You’ll also be shown how to use the alignment and template functions on Cricut Design Space, and we’ll share more tips for using Transfer Tape and Adhesive Vinyl.

Week 5: This will focus on creating bespoke stationery. You’ll be learning how to make a save the date, an invitation and a thank you card. This will incorporate all the functions of Cricut Design Space learnt over the previous weeks, including slicing, resizing, aligning and welding.

Week 6: Create beautiful decorations for your top table. Learn how to make decorative chair backs and a cake topper. Plus, you’ll enjoy a great reminder of how to slice, weld and use basic shapes in Cricut Design Space.

After the workshops are over, you’ll be able to confidently create a huge range of designs with your Cricut machine. Use the projects you’ve made along the way to transform your celebrations and craft even more handmade touches using the new skills you’ve learned.

You’ll be sent a follow-up video which will be live for 12 months afterwards to guide you in your own time.

Keeping everyone safe
At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

I thoroughly enjoyed each week of the course. The course supplies were carefully thought out and were of such good quality. Chrissie, the course instructor, was fantastic! She was friendly and knowledgeable and you could really tell that she had a lot of experience with her Cricut. There were lots of extra tips and tricks that she added while we worked. I only wish the course was longer and maybe included multi-colour/layer vinyl designs in iron-on and permanent vinyl. The course did mention that a requirement was the Cricut Easypress so I went and bought one, but an iron could have been used (even though the Easypress does a better job) - perhaps say Easypress or iron in the requirements. I wish there was in intermediate course. While I learnt a lot, I feel there is scope to go deeper into the skills.

My teacher was Joey Daley she was so patient and helpful When I first looked at a Cricut I wasn’t really sure if I could get my head around the software and it all felt like a foreign language but after six weeks with Joey’s help I am making things I never thought I could and are so enjoying learning another skill Many thanks to Joey and the Hobbycraft team

Absolutely fantastic. Artisan was so kind and patient. I have learned so much and used my machine loads as a consequence. If anyone is debating just do it.
