6 week course includes craft kit worth over £89

Join our fun and creative 6-week Cricut course designed especially for complete beginners! Whether you’ve just bought your Cricut machine or have been too nervous to take it out of the box, this course will guide you step-by-step through the essentials of Cricut crafting in a relaxed and supportive environment. You’ll learn how to use Design Space, work with different materials, and create a variety of beautiful handmade projects while building confidence with your machine each week.

Throughout the course, you’ll explore a range of popular Cricut techniques and projects. In Week 1, you’ll create a stunning giant 3D cardstock rose, perfect for home décor or special occasions. Week 2 introduces heat transfer vinyl as you design and personalise a stylish zipper pouch with an iron-on design. In Week 3, you’ll work with acrylic to create a personalised sign along with a gift box, learning valuable cutting and assembly skills along the way.

As your confidence grows, Week 4 will focus on creating a beautiful layered shadow box frame, teaching you techniques for depth, layering, and intricate cutting. In Week 5, you’ll discover the art of card making, producing custom greeting cards for birthdays, celebrations, and special occasions. Finally, in Week 6, you’ll finish the course by designing and assembling your own custom cake topper — the perfect project to showcase your new Cricut skills.

By the end of the 6 weeks, you’ll have completed a collection of handmade projects, gained practical experience using a variety of Cricut materials and tools, and developed the confidence to continue crafting independently at home. This course is perfect for beginners who want to learn new skills, meet fellow crafters, and enjoy a creative and inspiring atmosphere.

You’ll be sent a follow-up video which will be live for 12 months afterwards to guide you in your own time.

Keeping everyone safe
At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

I thoroughly enjoyed each week of the course. The course supplies were carefully thought out and were of such good quality. Chrissie, the course instructor, was fantastic! She was friendly and knowledgeable and you could really tell that she had a lot of experience with her Cricut. There were lots of extra tips and tricks that she added while we worked. I only wish the course was longer and maybe included multi-colour/layer vinyl designs in iron-on and permanent vinyl. The course did mention that a requirement was the Cricut Easypress so I went and bought one, but an iron could have been used (even though the Easypress does a better job) - perhaps say Easypress or iron in the requirements. I wish there was in intermediate course. While I learnt a lot, I feel there is scope to go deeper into the skills.

My teacher was Joey Daley she was so patient and helpful When I first looked at a Cricut I wasn’t really sure if I could get my head around the software and it all felt like a foreign language but after six weeks with Joey’s help I am making things I never thought I could and are so enjoying learning another skill Many thanks to Joey and the Hobbycraft team

Absolutely fantastic. Artisan was so kind and patient. I have learned so much and used my machine loads as a consequence. If anyone is debating just do it.

A really good course, I have learnt so many different skills and feel far more confident using my Cricut Maker now. Joey and Chrissie are both excellent teachers and made the course fun and interesting. They were always happy to answer questions, repeat the skills if we were unsure and give advice by email. I would recommend this course to everyone starting out with a Cricut machine. I'm looking forward to hopefully doing some 121 courses with them once I've practised what I've just learnt. Thank you!
