This is a fun activity in Kettering. , Northampton

If you've always wanted to give pottery a go but weren't sure where to begin, this ceramics experience in Kettering would make a brilliant starting point. Under the watchful eye of experienced potter Louise, you'll take to the wheel as you learn the techniques to throw your own earthenware mug or bowl.

In this serene pottery experience, you'll learn each step of the process at your own pace, using white earthenware clay to build your own unique vessel. Don't worry if this is your first time trying pottery, as you'll have help and guidance from Louise throughout the session. She'll show you the proper way to use the wheel as you shape, mould and guide your clay to its final form.

Everything you need will be provided on the day, so you just need to show up and enjoy two hours of creative zen. You'll leave the class happy, creatively refreshed and eagerly awaiting your piece's return from the kiln.

Please note:
- This session is perfect for people aged 16+
You will need to arrange to collect (in about two weeks time) once fired, or your pieces can easily be posted at cost.

Louise is very patient and informative. We had private tuition which catered for all of our different needs. We enjoyed making a cup and a bowl from scratch. Would recommend to anyone who would like to either start their pottery journey or just to have a try at a potters wheel! Many thanks again Louise.

Great teacher - fun and easy to talk to and we both learnt a lot. We made 2 mugs and 2 bowls which was extremely fun. Can’t wait to go and paint them in a couple of weeks, then we can take them home and enjoy using them and remembering the experience forever ☺️ definitely recommend

Amazing class, Louise was a great teacher and I can’t wait to work with clay again! It was a guided lesson which means you end up walking away with actual functional pieces, perfect for a complete beginner who wants to show off what they have done! I also booked in to paint my pieces which I am super excited about! Tips for anyone going, make sure you read the information Louise provides before you go, I did and it was super useful, like cutting your nails for example, very important tip!
