This is a fun activity in Kettering. , Northampton

If you've always wanted to give pottery a go but weren't sure where to begin, this ceramics experience in Kettering would make a brilliant starting point. Under the watchful eye of experienced potter Louise, you'll take to the wheel as you learn the techniques to throw your own earthenware mug or bowl.

In this serene pottery experience, you'll learn each step of the process at your own pace, using white earthenware clay to build your own unique vessel. Don't worry if this is your first time trying pottery, as you'll have help and guidance from Louise throughout the session. She'll show you the proper way to use the wheel as you shape, mould and guide your clay to its final form.

Everything you need will be provided on the day, so you just need to show up and enjoy two hours of creative zen. You'll leave the class happy, creatively refreshed and eagerly awaiting your piece's return from the kiln.

Please note:
- This session is perfect for people aged 16+
You will need to arrange to collect (in about two weeks time) once fired, or your pieces can easily be posted at cost.

Fantastic class. We thoroughly enjoyed the class. Was a small group of four so lots of time for Louise to teach us. Louise was very friendly and made you feel comfortable. Was expecting to only make one item, but we made two. For a small optional fee of £4 you could keep the 2nd item. Top tip. . . Have short nails :) This experience was a gift voucher. Booking the course was simple. I highly recommend this class. Thank you Louise

Louise was a great teacher - very thorough and attentive to each person in the class. Each step of creating our piece was explained in detail and demonstrated by Louise prior to us taking to the wheel. I enjoyed the whole process start to finish.

A Fantastic experience, lovely atmosphere and easy to find and park. Felt welcoming and warm, and was guided through all the steps to make a bowl and a cup - even with my natural clumsiness. Would highly recommend for anyone and will definitly going back again.

Louise was friendly and made everyone feel welcome. She quickly calmed nerves and gave us tips to build a few skills quickly. We made a practise vessel and a bowl, which we'll decorate later.

Had a great throwing pottery class, with plenty of hands on time trying to learn pottery for a first timer. Great teacher, very friendly, welcoming and good at showing you the basics of throwing. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
