This is a fun activity in Earlsfield. , London

In this engaging wheel throwing class in London, you'll learn the basics of making your pots from scratch on the potter's wheel.

It will begin with a brief demonstration so you can familiarise yourself with the process. You'll take turns trying out your new skills on the wheel with the teacher's guidance. Me-time between pottery attempts will provide some rest, so soak up the experience.

The longer class duration of two and a half hours will give you the time to perfect your ceramic pieces. By the end of this activity, you'll leave with two finished pots that you can claim in about three to four weeks. You can even make a third pot, however, a £7.50 surcharge is made to each extra pot.

Don't fret if you're new to pottery, as this class offers a relaxed and supportive environment ideal for beginners. During the class, you'll be encouraged to ask questions and refine your skills. The teacher will be there to offer guidance and help you make the most out of your time at the wheel. You'll be surprised at just how therapeutic and enjoyable this activity can be. All in all, it'll be a fun and creative way to spend an afternoon in London.

As your final reward for your efforts, you will take home a pair of glazed pots that will feel like unique masterpieces that you've crafted from scratch.

What a lovely experience :) Patrick was a pleasure to talk to and a great teacher, for myself (a bit of a pottery enthusiast and wanting to learn more about the actual process) and my girlfriend (who I gifted this course to as a birthday present, and loves art) We left feeling totally fulfilled by the whole experience, starting with the basics one-to-one and benefiting from some time to produce a piece ourselves with help if needed. Really looking forward to collecting our fired and glazed pieces (which Patrick takes care of) I really hope more people discover this particular course because it has to be one of the best pottery experiences that can be found in London; can't complain about the value for money either. Keep doing what you're doing, Patrick!

We had such a great time! Patrick is clearly very passionate about pottery (and glazes), and he shared lots of interesting stories with us throughout the workshop about his personal experiences and about the world of pottery in general. He was great a teacher as he was patient and kind, and helped us learn the techniques at our own pace. By the end of the class we had made a pot independently which was very rewarding. Looking forward to collecting our finished pots and bowls in a few weeks time!
