I had such an amazing time at this pottery taster class and honestly couldn’t recommend it more! Everyone had their own wheel and plenty of individual guidance from the friendly, knowledgeable teacher who shared so many helpful tips. The hours flew by as I learned the foundational skills of wheel throwing and completely switched off from the outside world. Whether you’re looking for pottery classes near you, a creative date night idea in Manchester, or just want to try something new and relaxing, this experience is an absolute must!

Thank you for the excellent beginners pottery session last week. The teaching was clear & easy to understand and I was able to try (and fail a few times!) and make a pottery bowl and came away very proud of myself. Such a patient and calm teacher. Thank you so much for your flexibility in rescheduling the session for my group following an unexpected back injury. We all had a fabulous time.

Very fun and rewarding experience. Our teacher, Filipa, was absolutely excellent. She helped us learn the basics first and then let us loose to play with the clay, helping us recover whenever we messed up. She was always looking out for us and made sure that we made the most of our time and created pieces that we were proud of. I'm really looking forward to collecting our finished pieces.

Our teacher explained the process very clearly and was very attentive and enthusiastic. We both felt though that due to the number of stages, it would have been more effective to teach us a couple of stages and then we had a go at those, and then a couple more and so on. This would have involved an additional wheel for the instruction, or reduce the class to 7, so there was a spare one for instructions. The initial demo was too long, and we'd forgotten what we had to do by the time we started. It was really cold in the studio, heaters at this time of year are needed. We really enjoyed it though and our teacher supported us when we needed it. She never stopped moving around helping people.
