Hi there, we went to the clay sculpting class in Edinburgh on 31.01 at the Southern. The facilitators were great, I really appreciated their enthusiasm and knowledge. They did a great job during the class. However, the space set aside for us at the venue was really awful and made me feel a bit ill. There were way too many people in too small a space. There were 6-7 people crowded around a four person table. There were just two of us so we had to touch elbows with people we didn’t know. It was hard to move my arms without getting in a stranger’s space. It was hot and way too loud. I was really stressed out at the end of the course. I would strongly recommend cutting down the amount of participants by half.

Lots of fun, with great teachers and a nice atmosphere. Lots of clay and tools to let you make anything you want. The venue was a little cramped, and would be better with fewer people per table. It meant that we were trapped in and couldn't easily get up to get drinks etc. We were busy crafting, so not a big deal for us, but it might put others off.

Great fun. Lovely teacher and attracts interesting clients. Watch the sip bit as drinks are extra. Lovely way to spend an evening.

The teacher was good, but it is a very expensive class. £60 for two people and it doesn’t even come with a free drink. It’s a bit misleading calling it “Sip & Sculpt” when the sip is an extra charge. Also, it’s actually 2 hours. Not 90 minutes. So if you have plans after, I’d probably cancel them. I think if you were to adjust your pricing or include one free drink, it would be better value.

The class was really laid back but the teacher was so knowledgeable. I was playing with the clay and experimenting and there were other people there making really good sculptures. I made some Christmas baubles, a 2D robin and a 3D cat. I would love to go again.

Really good fun! You were able to make pretty much whatever you wanted / multiple things to take home and paint when they are dry. Teacher went through a few basic techniques but really quickly which was hard to follow at the start but they came round to help and give advice to each table after which was great.
