This is a fun activity in Brixton, London

Learn the process of mono-screen printing with Underway Studio and create your own three colour print! In Underway Studio's themed workshops you’ll learn a simple screenprinting method to create a unique, three colour print inspired by a choice of images. You will be introduced to basic screenprinting equipment as well as learning a brief history of the process. Over 2.5 hours, your talented tutors will teach you how to use both paper stencils and pre-exposed photographic screens to make a striking screenprint in response to your chosen image. You will walk away from the session with your very own piece of art!

No worries if you're new to the world of art—this class is designed for beginners, and no previous artistic experience is required. No need to prepare any artwork before the session either. Underway Studio will be teaching you how to build a print from scratch using paper stencils and a choice of two photographs that have been pre-exposed onto screens before the class. Your teacher will provide all the necessary materials, along with a selection of refreshments, including hot drinks and biscuits. If you fancy bringing additional snacks or drinks, feel free to do so!

Underway Studio's intimate space means you can benefit from small class sizes in a colourful and creative environment. Located in vibrant Brixton, the studio is just a short stroll from the tube station, making it easily accessible. While you're there, why not extend your experience? Brixton offers a plethora of lively restaurants, bars, cafes, and pubs, allowing you to turn your workshop into a delightful day out. Unleash your creativity, create your own masterpiece, and take home a tangible reminder of your artistic adventure.

Wow, what a great experience! Super instruction from Caitlin and Melissa in their funky working Studio in Brixton. Had a good run through of the principles then pretty much straight into the hands on design and printing of our pieces. Definitely one for those interested in screen printing with that proper hands on activity and prints to take home at the end. 10/10 and great value for money. Oh and thanks for the tea and biscuits as well!

Super fun class - got to learn about both the creative process and the technical process required to make screenprints. The instructors were really good and helpful. The best part was that we got to bring home the beautiful, handmade and personally designed prints!

Super fun workshop. Great creative activity to do with friends or alone because everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice opportunity to create some original art to take home. Also isn’t too long or short so the whole workshop was fun and great for beginners to learn about screen printing.
