This is a fun activity in Elstree, Watford

Join us for a pottery class in Watford at Sarah Core Arts' studio and experience the exciting world of wheel-throwing! In this 2.5-hour workshop, you'll learn how to centre on the wheel and throw a beautiful pot. And the best part? No experience is necessary!

Whether you choose to work on a genuine Leach wheel or an electric wheel, you'll have the opportunity to switch between the two, adding an extra element of fun and exploration to your pottery journey. Our friendly and knowledgeable instructors, Sarah or Rebecca, will guide you through the process, making sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.

A Leach wheel focus (treadle wheel) is available for 1 person sessions. Daunted?  You are not alone.  Some folks struggle with the idea of mindfulness creativity and physical effort working together but working with the treadle wheel allows a slower moment of connection with the what the clay is ‘doing’ might have been missed on the electric wheel. We can work with sensitivity in the way we respond to these moments to allow the pot to progress.  Sarah is with you all the way in this special 121 session.

Don't worry if you're a complete beginner – this workshop is designed with you in mind! The studio will provide all the materials and tools you need to create your masterpiece. You'll work with high-quality clay and glazes, giving your finished piece a professional touch.

Once your pottery is complete, Sarah will fire it to a high standard, ensuring a beautiful finish. You'll be able to collect your creations a few weeks after the session, allowing you to proudly display your handmade pottery at home or give it as a thoughtful gift to a loved one.

Join us on this pottery adventure, and unleash your creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment. Book your spot today and create lasting memories in our pottery class in Watford. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to learn a new skill and engage in a fun and rewarding activity!

What a brilliant afternoon! Sarah was absolutely amazing, we had lots of laughter but also learnt so much as well. Sarah was on hand to make sure we had a finished product we could be proud of, no matter how little natural talent we had, LOL! Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, highly recommended.

Sarah was lovely and patient. She created a really positive atmosphere where there was no wrong outcome. She helped when needed but also let us experiment and discover. Highly recommend, whatever skill level you have

Sarah was an amazing teacher! So patient, calm, fun and engaging. She walked us through how to do all the basics, and gave us plenty of time to get used to the clay, using the kit and understanding how everything worked. Even getting to use a leach was amazing! Small classes which allowed her to make time for each person, and you feel like you've actually made something good at the end of the class! Will be back :)
