First of all, ensuring everyone's safety is paramount, so we'll conduct a comprehensive safety briefing, familiarising you with the tools we'll be using.

Next, it's time to unleash your creativity! You'll handpick a piece of wood sourced from the offcuts of our furniture business. Whether you wish to design a custom board shape or use one of our stencils, the choice is entirely yours.

Under our expert guidance, you'll bring your design to life using a bandsaw and then refine and perfect it with a variety of tools at your disposal; hand sandpaper, an orbital sander, and a disc/belt sander. You'll achieve a smooth and polished finish that showcases the natural beauty of the wood.

To protect and enhance your charcuterie board, you'll learn how to apply mineral oil and get a quick rundown on how to properly care for your board.

Our practical woodworking classes are comprehensive and designed for complete beginners, so no prior knowledge or experience with woodworking is needed. Give the gift of creativity and craft to yourself or a loved one!

“We did the charcuterie board making class with Johanna. We were taught how to use the band saw, belt sander, bobbin sander, orbital sander to make our own design of board from sapele wood. At the end we finished them with hemp oil and beeswax. An awesome class! We both really enjoyed it and would wholeheartedly recommend it!”

“The teacher was great and very informative. We created charcuterie boards from scratch and the process was broken down to give a real idea of how they are made. The class takes approximately 3 hours to complete and you can have as many breaks as you wish, with access to a kitchen and water and toilets. The best part was learning the process of how it's made and being able to actually use the high tech machinery on site to make the boards, would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to do a class, groups are also welcome so perfect team activity day for friends, colleagues and families.”

“I took my partner to this class as a birthday gift, and while he was initially a bit sceptical about making a charcuterie board, he was quickly won over by the creative possibilities. He ended up having a great time and being really happy with the board he made. It's a brilliant gift for someone who likes making things with their hands (and eating cured meats and picky bits). After an early woodworking failure at school, I wasn't at all confident in my abilities, but Johanna's instructions were great, and with her guidance, I was able to bring my vision to life. This project is a great introduction to woodworking. You get to use some fun tools to make something practical that's totally doable within the time allowed and provides the opportunity to be creative. There were three people in our class so everyone got plenty of time and attention, and each of our boards looked so different, but they all turned out so well. It was such fun way to spend a few hours and then to get to take home a unique piece. I can't wait to have people over for cheese and charcuterie and be able to brag that I made the board myself. Highly recommend!”

“Excellent class. The teacher was really great, introduced everything clearly, we felt supported in creating our own design. It was really satisfying to use all the power tools and learn why they’re used, and the end result looks amazing. Friends and family can’t believe they aren’t professional.
