“Absolutely loved this workshop - such a cosy space and Jasper was lovely. I have a little experience painting but none with oils, so this was the perfect introduction. It was a really chilled atmosphere and we had plenty of time to finish our paintings. The guidance was detailed and helpful, but you could still work independently. Highly recommend! I’ll be looking to do more sessions.”

“Jasper was a very nice teacher. He taught us about the paint itself and demonstrated a step by step technique for creating a 3D effect using tonal values. We completed a small painting of fruit. It was a small group, so there was lots of (unobtrusive) attention and opportunity to ask questions. Good value as all materials were included. My advice would be to take a container of some sort to put the painting in as it was difficult to transport home whilst still drying.”

“Really enjoyed the class, Jasper was really helpful and hands on. I had never used oil paints before, so Jasper taught us a lot about the medium. We worked in stages from sketching basic shapes, refining these then indicating our areas of light and dark values which we then painted in, and then we worked more on how to indicate shape and texture. The vibe was great with jazz music and a relaxed atmosphere. In the end, I’m super pleased with my final piece, especially as a complete beginner to oils. Would definitely recommend!!”
