This is a fun activity in Liverpool

Experience the art of wheel-throwing pottery in our welcoming studio located in Liverpool. This 2-hours workshop is designed specifically for complete beginners, but we happily accommodate all skill levels.

In this hands-on session, you will learn to centre clay on the wheel, an intricate yet fascinating skill, and create your very own 2 pieces of pottery. You will also have the opportunity to choose from a selection of glazes to finish your pieces. After the workshop, I’ll take care of everything: drying, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing. Your beautiful creations will be ready for collection in 4 to 6 weeks!

With a maximum of 4 participants, you’ll receive plenty of personal attention and guidance, ensuring you leave with new skills and confidence.

Come unleash your creativity and discover the wonderful world of pottery!

- There is free on-street parking available in front of the building.
- Please note that the studio is located on the second floor and accessible via a staircase (no elevator access available).
- This session is suitable for teenagers from 16 years old, for children younger than 16 years old, please message me so we can discuss requirements.

“We really enjoyed this class! I got this as a present for my grandad as he has always wanted to try using a pottery wheel. He said that the time just flew over for him as he was so focused and having lots of fun. The instructor, Sophie, gave very helpful demonstrations, explanations and encouragement. She struck a great balance between letting us try things ourselves and stepping in to help when we really needed it. I am heavily pregnant and I eventually got too tired to lean over the wheel and push the clay; Sophie was particularly perceptive in seeing that I just wasn't able to do it anymore and needed help, which I appreciated. We also liked the venue, it was very bright with natural light. We are looking forward to seeing our finished pieces!”

“This pottery throwing class was a surprise gift, and it completely lived up to expectations. We’d been wanting to try it for ages and the small group made it feel relaxed and personal. Aurélie is a wonderful teacher - patient, encouraging and clearly very skilled. It was also surprisingly calming, almost meditative. We were thrilled with the pots we created (far better than expected!) and can’t wait to collect them. It’s definitely left us wanting more - such a fun and rewarding class. We’d highly recommend this taster session and will definitely be back.”

“Our instructor Aurélie was very good, clear and helpful. She made the session fun and interesting, and we were able to make some items that we can take home with us and cherish (we have to wait 6 weeks or so until they are completely done!). We will look into booking more sessions in the future!”
