This is a fun activity in Wolverton, Milton Keynes

Come and join me for a fun in-person class on how to crochet and make a granny square, the foundation of many crochet items.

I will guide you through each step at this in-person event at my home in Wolverton, Milton Keynes. Class sizes are limited to five so that we can all sit comfortably around a table together and I can ensure that everyone receives the attention they need. This class is suitable for right and left-handed students and lasts for three hours with a break in the middle for refreshments.

During the workshop, we will cover:

- How to hold your hook and yarn
- Chain stitch
- Slip stitch
- The treble crochet stitch
- How to make a granny square
- How to join rows
- How to make colour changes

During the class, you'll have the opportunity to connect with fellow crochet enthusiasts, exchange tips, and share your love for this relaxing hobby. Plus, you'll leave with your very own granny square creation, ready to continue at home. To help you do this I will also provide you with a resource sheet you can refer to as needed.

This workshop is suitable for both complete beginners and those who have started crocheting but need a bit of help to improve their work or get started on granny squares. This course is suitable for accompanied children aged 12 and up.

Please be aware that I do have an excitable chocolate Labrador dog who will want to say hello to you when you arrive (and then crash out on the sofa soon after). If you are allergic to dogs or not a fan, please consider carefully before booking this course.

This was my second visit to Sandra and the crochet class was just as good as the darning class. We were given crotchet hooks and wool and very quickly were able to produce chain stitches and trebles to create a strip of work. We then moved onto Granny Squares and by the end had completely got the hang of it and had completed 90% of a whole square. Obviously we were then able to take this away and complete it at home. Sandra was patient and very attentive and an excellent teacher. It was a relaxed and pleasant afternoon and I'm hoping to continue with her next crotchet class. Can't wait!

Sandra our teacher was amazing, clear and supportive and gave clear instructions and demonstrated each step so well. I've booked another class as I have learnt the basics and feel so happy that I am learning something new.

Sandra was a brilliant teacher who explained everything really well and each attendee was given a lot of individual help and advice if needed. It was a really warm and welcoming environment to learn in at Sandra's house with tea and cakes and her dog is so friendly and adorable. There were plenty of different colours to choose from, unfortunately I can't upload a photo but I used some gorgeous greens and oranges for my square. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and absolutely recommend it!

I had a great time in Sandra’s class yesterday. Thanks to Sandra’s guidance I made my first granny square and will definitely come back to her next class to practise. It is lovely to learn to crochet on such a relaxed environment and so much better to be in beautiful home (delicious cakes were a nice surprise). I definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn how to crochet.

The course was really good. We started at basics and progressed quickly. A group size of 4/5 is perfect for interaction and 1-1 tuition where needed. A lovely afternoon and I’ve come away with a new skill

My daughter and I had a wonderful crochet lesson with Sandra last night! She is so patient, talented, and made everything easy to understand. The whole session felt warm and relaxed — and the homemade cakes she baked were absolutely delicious! A truly lovely experience. Highly recommended!
