This is a fun activity in Wolverton, Milton Keynes

In a relaxed and welcoming setting, you’ll learn how to get started with crochet, connect with fellow crochet enthusiasts, and experience how the steady rhythm of crochet can help calm the mind, ease stress, and bring your attention into the present moment.

I will guide you through each step at this in-person event at my home in Wolverton, Milton Keynes. Class sizes are limited to five so that we can all sit comfortably around a table together and I can ensure that everyone receives the attention they need. This class is suitable for right and left-handed students and lasts for three hours with a break in the middle for refreshments (including a homemade bake!)

During the workshop, we will cover:

- How to hold your hook and yarn
- Chain stitch
- Slip stitch
- The treble crochet stitch
- How to make a granny square
- How to join rows
- How to make colour changes

This workshop is suitable for both complete beginners and those who have started crocheting but need a bit of help to improve their work or get started on granny squares. You’ll leave with your own granny square creation and the confidence to continue practising at home.

Please note that you may get a cheerful welcome from my excitable chocolate Labrador, who likes to say hello before settling down on the sofa. If you or your child are allergic to dogs or feel uncomfortable around them, please let me know before booking so I can make alternative arrangements for her.

“Brilliant learn to Crochet class with Sandra. I found Sandra very friendly and inviting with good explanation of how to form stitches. I was treated to coffee and homemade tea loaf which was lovely. I have come home with a refreshed memory of basics and a small crochet hexagon which I'm very proud of.... So, onto bigger projects from here. I shall definitely be booking a follow up class.... I'm hooked”
