This is a fun activity in Leeds

Ready to unwind? Visit our painting space, where you can come and decorate your own chosen piece (or pieces!) of eco-resin homeware! Choose two items from plant pots, trinket trays, candle holders, vases and seasonal decorations.

You'll arrive in our painting space, much like a pottery cafe (but eco-resin rather than pottery!), where you will be seated in your group at a table. You're able to go and choose two pieces to paint in our selection of homewares, and your ticket includes all the paints and accessories you'll need to decorate it. You'll have an hour and a half (90 minutes) to enjoy your painting session!

This is a little different than pottery painting, as your homeware is made from eco-resin and does not need to be fired after you've painted it; once the paint is dry, you can use it at home right away! (Please note, finished creations need to be treated with care as they're hand-painted).

Please note the following:

- This is NOT pottery, as such as not food-safe or waterproof by default. You'll be provided with a take-home gloss kit at our shop that makes the items water resistant. We recommend bringing your own bag where possible.

- You must arrive at the start of your session time; otherwise, you won't be given your full 90-minute slot.

- The minimum age is 16 years old. Please don't be offended if we ask to verify the age of your children, our insurance requires us to make sure everyone is the right age to have a good crafty time!

- You will be sat within your booking group, so please be aware if you book alone, you may be seated alone or with another group.

- You can also purchase additional homewares on the day if you'd like to paint more than two!

- While you're with us, you're able to order hot drinks (at an extra charge) from the neighbouring coffee shops. We don't allow you to bring any food in that hasn't been purchased from the coffee shops within the shopping arcade.

- You'll have gloves at your disposal to prevent any mess.

- You can leave your piece with us to dry (you have up to 2 weeks to collect) or you can take it home immediately!

- We are a shop open to the public. There may be other painting groups within your time slot or other workshops happening simultaneously in the space, so you won’t have the space to yourself, but you’ll have your table to enjoy your experience!

My daughter and I spent the most wonderful time at the Paint and Chill session offered by ClassBento at Corn Exchange in Leeds. Ellen was fantastic, she explained everything in detail and was very attentive from the word go. We both painted two pieces each which is fantastic value for money. I definitely recommend this super chill and creative session and we are on the lookout for an alternative one for later on in the future.

Enjoyable 90 mins chatting and painting - nice to just switch off for a bit and relax. The lady that greeted us (sorry didn’t get her name) was friendly and gave us clear instructions as to how the session worked. We were a bit late arriving as it wasn’t clear on the confirmation that the venue is actually in the corn exchange. Would advise to bring a jumper as the seating is outside the shop on the piazza and the chairs aren’t the warmest or comfiest with a bit of a draft! Hard to paint in your coat! We were also sat near the toilets for the building so lots of people walking past and toilets being cleaned at one point! The choice of resin to paint was good - the time goes quick - so even though some of the choices of items look at bit small, depending on the detail you go into with your painting, a large and small piece would prob be best - especially to let them dry etc. All in all, a pleasant 90 mins with friendly service, but the venue was maybe not what we expected and quite expensive for what we got.

Brilliant experience and super fun. Shop manager was lovely and explained everything in detail. Easy to navigate and definitely don’t need any experience or be a good painter.

I was really disappointed with this experience, as it was intended to be a birthday gift for a friend. Unfortunately, the manager was extremely rude and did not explain what we were expected to do. She did not check on us at any point and instead expected us to approach her, despite frequently disappearing for long periods to another shop and spending time on her phone. She was not very accommodating, the paintbrushes were poor quality, and we were not offered the full range of paints. The lighting was also very poor, making it difficult to see what we were painting. Because of this, I would honestly recommend purchasing a set to use at home instead, as it would likely be cheaper, better quality, and far more enjoyable. When I raised these concerns with the manager, she became defensive and rude. She initially said she would speak to the owner but never followed this up. As a result, I will not be returning. I am extremely upset that this experience ruined what was meant to be a special birthday surprise for my friend.

The teacher was lovely! She left us to it and we both painted a few different things. It doesnt get glazed and fired, which meant we could take it home straight away! Its quite a fun and pretty cheap activity to do!
