During your first class, you can bring in a shop-bought pattern to work from - this can be any garment you like!

Together, over the course of six weeks and with the help of your talented teacher, you will learn step by step how to follow your pattern, successfully make the garment and leave with the skills to make many more and confidence to try other patterns too!

Garment making is a wonderful, relaxing and mindful skill & craft but best of all, at the end of six weeks, you'll have a stunning garment of your choice handmade entirely by you!

“Can’t rate this class highly enough. Emma was an amazing teacher - so knowledgeable and helpful. The class is such a nice learning environment with only 6 people you get so much personalised tuition. I managed to complete my jumpsuit as well as making personalised adjustments so it fits perfectly. I’m already looking into doing another one soon.”

“A big thank you to Ali and Robyn. Even though I didn't manage to finish my dress but I will do at home. I learnt a lot about alterations as I had to unpick top from skirt and shorten the top. Lots of handy tips too. Very patient and relaxed. Starting a new course in January 2026.”

“Second class I've done with Edinburgh Sewcial Club and they are just fab. Really excellent teachers who know their stuff inside out and create a lovely, relaxed learning environment. Plus I'm chuffed with the dress I made! Would recommend to anybody.”
