This is a fun activity in Manchester

In this ceramics taster class in Manchester, you'll be guided through the process of throwing clay on a potter's wheel. You'll have a wheel to yourself for the duration of the class and as much clay as you need to experiment and get messy!

Don't worry if you've never tried throwing before, our wheel intro sessions are designed for complete beginners. In a small group of 5, you'll have plenty of assistance from your tutor, Georgie.

At the end of the class, you'll be able to choose your 2 favourite pieces to be glazed and fired. You can choose a glaze colour for each one and you'll need to come back and pick these up 3-4 weeks after the class finishes. If you don't live in Manchester, we can arrange postage for an additional £5 payable on the day.

Suitable for ages 12+ if attending with an adult.

“Absolutely fantastic time had by all! Kids thoroughly enjoyed it (as did I!) and want to return. Great fun and great to have a go, lots of time to explore the clay and have a good try. Very patient with showing technique and helping if needed, but also letting us do it ourselves, was great to feel like what you made was actually made by you and you get a good chance to get a feel for the clay. Was a good amount of time and not rushed. Quotes from the kids- “Amazing” “Superb” “Fantastic” “Fabulous” They were talking about it all the way home. Thank you!”

“Mia was very lovely, friendly and helpful, and this was a very fun beginner friendly class. Perfect amount of time and well worth the price!! The class sizes are no bigger than 4-6 so you get adequate one-to-one time with the teacher. Highly recommend this studio xx”

“Georgie was fantastic!! We had a private booking for 5 of us, she set the table up for food for us, helped each of us throughout the session and listened to what we were hoping to make and then helping to make that happen. She was so lovely with my younger niece making it work for her when she was struggling. Would 100% recommend and want to come back with partner and friends. Well worth the Money. Thankyou so much we had a great afternoon and so much fun x”
