Tere was a wonderful host and prepared the best churros for us. The conversation was lovely and actually would have loved the class was longer to keep speaking and learning about Spanish culture. I would recommend it to everyone.

To be honest Tere was more than a teacher she was more like a friend, she’s very social and kind also very friendly, we really enjoyed and learned more about the Spanish culture and we learned about churros and how to perfect them, the churros were amazing and so delicious, the best part is that we all get to sit together and eat our churros with Tere, and I can’t forgot the whole experience being able to cook churros in a houseboat is awesome, also the houseboat is very cozy and nice, also Tere has a very cute cat named tippy she is very calm and friendly even if your scared of cats tippy won’t bother you, we really had fun in this experience and we hope to repeat it again in the future!

This was so much more than a cooking class. It was an amazing experience with Tere on her beautiful houseboat; cooking together, tasting two types of churros, sharing stories, and celebrating the beauty of cultural exchange.

I had a fantastic experience at this workshop! Tere taught me how to make traditional choux-like dough completely from scratch. We even used a churrera to ensure the churros came out exactly the right size and shape. What I liked most was her incredible teaching style and her personal story. Instead of just telling me everything, she asked questions throughout to keep me on my toes and truly embed the learning. I also loved hearing about her background and how it led to her current role. I felt a real personal connection to her journey. She is a wonderful teacher, but more importantly, a wonderful person. She showed me the different thicknesses you can make, and taught me the exact oil temperature needed for perfectly crispy, non-greasy churros. She also showed me how to make a delicious chocolate sauce from scratch using authentic chocolate from Spain. She went above and beyond by giving me ideas for my own potential churro business, further recipes, and a list of items to buy to start out at home. An amazing experience with an incredible person. Highly recommend this workshop!!

Terri was very knowledgeable and her churros were excellent. She had a very likeable personality but I feel that the house boat was dirty. The utensils and everything about it felt unclean. There was no washing of hands before. If it had been cleaner I would have given it a 5 but it was not so I need to be honest. The reason I can't recommend it to my friends was for this reason and this reason alone.
