“Maddi and Vanessa were great, top job of providing an overview of how pickling works, what to look out for and the process for pickling at home! We had a great time sampling some awesome food as well. Great job!”
“Mardi was excellent. The class was relaxed and happy. There were non-alcoholic options for me, who doesn't drink. We were allowed to bring our own produce to pickle, which was great fun. Lots of information and ways to pickle at home.
Down side was the size of the class. Mardi did her best to do everything and be there for everyone, but the kitchen was a little crowded. I would have also liked a bit more guidance on what flavours go well together.”
“I recently attended this pickling course and absolutely loved it. It was incredibly informative, with clear explanations and practical tips that made the whole process easy to understand and follow. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made it such an enjoyable experience. We worked with beautiful, fresh produce, and it was wonderful to learn how to turn quality ingredients into something delicious and long-lasting. I left feeling inspired and confident to start pickling at home. Highly recommend!
Mardi was excellent”
“Thank you! Such a warm and friendly welcome. Loved the tasting table and glass of bubbles. Very informative, fun, hands on pickling class. Makes you appreciate the effort that goes into making saur kraut. Everyone was lovely.... including Max.... he was a laugh and very helpful! Thank you!!!”
“Maddy was a brilliant teacher and made the class informative and entertaining. We had a great class group and really engaged with each other which was fantastic and you learn off each other as well. Looking forward to eating the produce we made.”
“A warm welcome from Maddi was followed by sampling a variety of pickles and 2 breads, one gluten free. Clear instructions, everything set up for us to select and chop our vegetables of choice then Maddi added the pickling solution and popped them into the boiling water. Next we had a run through on finely slicing 1kg of cabbage, Maddi measured the salt then massage until equal parts macerated cabbage and liquid. Fennel seeds for me and away I went. Thanks for the notes and fun class, Maddi.”
