“My Mum and I had a great time doing this workshop with Kaya (and her lovely wee dog Baxter) - we learnt so much and it was amazing to see all the ways we could do the printing! Highly recommend!”
“Kaya was a great teacher - gave us everything we needed to make beautiful linocut prints. Very chill vibe, all materials provided, and awesome results. Highly recommend!”
“Kaya was clearly very knowledgable and passionate about Linocutting. It was a good starting point to understand basic processes in linocutting. The class was held at a private residence, which was not sign posted and a little difficult to find. It was only when I spotted art tools at the window sill that I realised I had the right address. I did find barking pet dog a little distracting, perhaps some background music would be nicer. Class went for 2hrs, not 3 as advertised. Learned about tools and products to use. Would have liked some more instruction on cutting techniques and how to obtain certain effects, there is definitely some skill involved. I was quite happy with my finished piece, although I think I should have kept it simpler.”
“A wonderful, relaxed class that does an excellent job at teaching the basics. Our teacher was very patient and knowledgeable and provided great feedback during the whole process. Would definitely recommend!”
“Our teacher was passionate, friendly, and helpful. She showed us all of her designs to help us with our own. She gave us each a A6 piece of lino that we drew our design on, and then showed us the tools and gave us scrap lino to practice before starting. Once our designs were done, we did a practice print, and then she showed us how we can print from the lino stamp in 3 different ways - with the print press, and two hand pressing. We then got to choose what type of print we wanted for the shiny paper. At the end of the class, she did a ghost stamp to dry our lino stamp. We then left with our lino stamp and 5 prints from our lino stamp. Definitely would recommend, made us want to do lino printing more often.”
