My partner and I did the dumplings and cocktails class and honestly, we had such a fun time! The teacher was super friendly and made everything easy to follow. We learned how to make dumplings from scratch and mixed some really good cocktails too. It was very hands-on, relaxed, and a great vibe overall. Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a fun and different date idea!!!

Unfortunately, I didn’t feel this class lived up to the reviews I read prior to purchasing. Pros: - The staff were friendly and welcoming. - The dumplings were served promptly. - The cocktail-making component was enjoyable. Cons: - The venue itself felt quite run down and did not reflect the standard I was expecting for the price point. - While the staff were lovely, the class was facilitated by bar staff rather than a specialist or chef. I wasn’t expecting a highly traditional or masterclass-level experience, but I did anticipate something that felt more structured. - At $99 per person, I did not feel the experience offered strong value for money. The two included cocktails were not particularly memorable, and the dumpling offering was limited (with half being vegetarian). The cocktail selection also wasn’t based on classic options – for example, a lychee martini may not suit everyone’s taste. - During the seated portion of the class, rats came out from under our table while we were eating. This was quite unpleasant, and at least one couple in our group chose to leave shortly after. - Additional drinks were expensive. I was charged $30 for two bottled drinks, including a $15 can of Somersby cider, which was not listed on the menu. I had pointed to a different cider and was served this one instead. - We were advised on the day that the class would begin at 7:45pm instead of 7:30pm, which was fine. However, upon arrival we waited a further 20 minutes before the class commenced. No one even offered us a drink while we were waiting, I had to ask. - The venue was extremely noisy at the start, making it difficult to hear instructions. While I understand this may be due to other diners, it did impact the overall experience. - As there was a class immediately before ours, the session felt somewhat rushed, as though the staff were simply moving through it rather than delivering a considered experience. Overall, the experience felt more like a high-volume, revenue-driven offering rather than a thoughtfully curated class. Given the price, I had expected a more polished and enjoyable experience.
