Something I really appreciated about this workshop is that the end result was beautiful. This is of course due to Hideko’s generosity and kindness in the way she teaches and shares knowledge. She is enthusiastic about stained glass and I loved learning.
In other workshops, teachers give advice and then leave you alone to do it, with variable results. Hideko offered the perfect amount of guidance and support for it to be both a relaxing morning and one where I made a piece I was proud of (and that looked professional, not like a school project.)

I had never done any stained glass work, and this was also a taster into the process — design, foiling, soldering, and also some (optional) practice cutting glass. It has sparked an interest in stained glass work!
