“I am writing to formally address concerns regarding a recent tufting workshop my daughter attended. Initially, the instructor requested a schedule change, to which we accommodated. However, during the session, my daughter proposed several designs, which the instructor dismissed as overly complex and time-consuming without providing constructive feedback. Furthermore, while the students were tufting, the instructor failed to offer adequate demonstrations or assistance, instead urging them to rush through their work. This lack of guidance resulted in unsatisfactory outcomes for all participants.
Having attended other tufting workshops, I found this experience to be notably unprofessional. The instructor appeared disengaged from teaching and more focused on personal social engagements (phone and planning outing after the class), which compromised the quality of instruction. In light of these issues, I respectfully request that Class Bento investigate this matter thoroughly and consider issuing a refund for the workshop.”
“This was so much fun!!! After a short tutorial, I was left to tuft with the instructor nearby for any questions. Super happy with how it turned out and with the amount of guidance and attention.”
“The overall experience wasn’t too bad, it was abit more stressful than fun, but I did enjoy the time I had. The teacher wasn’t really patient with different type of learners. It was my first time doing this and she was kinda being aggressive with how to show me how to do the pattern.
I would probably go elsewhere if you need someone with more patience and not in a rush to get you out for the next set of people.”
“I think the teacher was a bit too quiet and it would help if she was more hands on and checked in with us every now and then and given a bit more guidance.
Apart from that, the class was fun and it was a quiet and chill environment which I enjoyed.”
“My girlfriend and I did the class. Whlist we like the activity itself, I wish the instructor was more proactive and enthusaistic in teaching and guiding us, rather than ducking away and being on her phone the whole time. We had to alert the instructor that we're done, and she did not give us any guidance along the way which resulted in our first turfting being littered with mistakes that could have been avoided.”
“I was disappointed by the lack of support and professionalism from our teacher during the class. She treated me and my friend unfairly—for example, she only allowed my friend to choose 3 yarn colours, while other students were given 6 options. She also wrongly accused my friend by telling her off for handing her a threading machine that was switched on, even though it was off. The teacher also scoffed at my work and I asked for her feedback in saying what's wrong, she simply dismissed me with, "Nevermind, just keep going." When I requested assistance with creating a circle for my work, she refused and told me I wouldn’t be able to do it. She seemed to give up on helping us entirely and focused her attention on other students instead. I came here hoping for a fun learning experience, but unfortunately, I left feeling discouraged and disrespected.”
