“The teacher clearly has broad technical knowledge, and a well-established client base. We were disappointed that of the 3 hour booking, almost 2 and a half were spent mixing colours, or waiting for further instruction while the instructor attended to her regular clientele, and we had to rush in the last 30 mins to create an artwork, which neither of us could fully complete. We are both beginners to oil painting, but we were feeling demoralised and frustrated after such a long time inactive. I think we both would have enjoyed our time more if the colour theory could have been completed in the first half hour or so with dedicated guidance, so we had more time to enjoy the practice of painting and to refine our practical skills. We won't return, but we will continue to use the supplies to explore oil painting in our own time. I hope this feedback will be useful for the planning of future classes.”
