“It was a great class! The space was lovely, and the style and content of the session were well-paced. We had so much fun. The technique of Modern Kintsugi is also so practical, and I feel like I can fix those sentimental broken pieces I have and make them even more beautiful! Helena was a great teacher!”
“I have attended 2 beginers Kintsugi classes. The first conducted at Queens road was a 5 star course. The instructor was from Sydney. The class was small (8 people) and the instructor demonstated the true art of Kintsugi from filing, gluing, filling with putty, use of chiseling, taping, and application of multiple fine layers of gold to achieve a professional piece of art that I am proud to display (Picture 1).
The second course was conducted in Collingwood. This course was overcrowded (15 people) and simply demonstrated gluing a broken plate with enough gold coloured glue that it oozed out of the crack. The end result was a 'blobby' uneven repair that appeared to have been done by a kindergarten child and is an insult to this fine art. (picture 2).
I strongly recomend that if you wish to undertake a course in the beutiful art of Kintsugi you enrol in the Class Bento at 1 Queens road and avoid Collingwood which I generously rated a 1/5”
“Class was brilliant and the teacher Helena was the best. She was so thorough in her explanation and super helpful throughout the class. Loved it!! Thank you”
“We had a fantastic time today, our teacher was very informative and most helpful, the atmosphere was very relaxed and I felt everyone was very happy with the class, I didn't feel overwhelmed at all, never rushed at all, I will definitely be looking at other classes, thankyou again for an amazing afternoon. Keep your choices simple and have fun.”
