“This was an incredible experience - it felt so wholesome. The ability to learn a skill and also enjoy lunch with others. A perfect date day!
You also walk away with a goodie bag. It was just so good - highly recommend. Thanks to the team at 48H!”
“I thought it was a bit strange we didn’t cook the meal or watch it being cooked. I guess not everyone can cook as it would take ages, but I did think we would watch the chef do it. We were shown how to make the dow and that was it. It was a nice experience but that’s about it”
“As an experience is was just ok, not great. The class was small in size, which was nice, but we were all squashed together on one table in a closed and empty restaurant. The teacher was informative but spent a large amount of time talking about the flour. The lesson was this: peel potato, mash potato (by hand) to make dough, roll dough, cut dough, put in box to take home. No cooking was involved of either the gnocci or the sauce. Then you sit down, again squashed into one table and are given food which was pre made and one glass of nameless wine. Class was said to be two hours but we were back in the car within 1.5 hours. At $260 for two people, we did not see any value over $60 total for the experience.”
“My friend and I both loved the Masterclass - it was a great length, super helpful, and fun, and the lunch at the end was delicious. I also thought it was great how at the end they send you home with all the ingredients and sauce to make it again!
I would definitely recommend it as a fun activity to do with a friend, as a date, or even to give as a gift for someone who loves to cook!”
“The class was an absolute delight! Our teacher was fantastic – knowledgeable, patient, and made the experience fun and engaging. They explained each step clearly and shared great tips on how to perfect the texture of the gnocchi.
We started by learning how to prepare the dough from scratch, then rolled and shaped the gnocchi before cooking it to perfection. After the hands-on session, we enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring the gnocchi we made, paired with a beautiful sauce and fresh ingredients.
What I liked most was the interactive nature of the class – getting my hands into the dough and seeing the transformation from simple ingredients to a restaurant-quality dish. The relaxed atmosphere and the chance to learn authentic techniques made it truly memorable.”
