“I generally don't give negative feedback but I feel it may be of benefit for future classes. Both Joseph & Yvonnne were lovely people but i feel the class itself was very lacking in detail and class like instruction. I feel the teacher did not explain many things very well and didnt allow students enough hands on involement like when molding and scraping the mold trays. He did most of it himself. I did however, learn a couple of things that I didnt know before so all was not lost. The class presentation itself i felt was below par and there was not enough equipment to go round. Too much free time for students whilst teacher attended only 2 students at a time and the rest of us were left alone until it was our turn. I feel that there was probably only about 40mins worth of teaching instruction spread throughout the whole day. We learned how to make a ganache and dip them in melted chocolate. There was only time for 1 batch of molded chocolate and we only used the ganache we made at the beginning. I guess I was expecting to have more instruction on the types of different fillings that can be used and other techniques because the title of the class was the Ultimate Chocolate Making Class and we only learned 2 techniques. I had too high an expectation as I obviously didnt read the blub on the class (we did everything mentioned there) on your website. The teacher told us that if we emailed him he would send the class instruction notes to us by email. I feel these should have been provided on the day. Needless to say that i was dissapointed with my experience.”
“This was a very enjoyable class and Joseph gave some very useful practical tips for the home cook wishing to dip their toes into the world of chocolate making. Would recommend this class for those starting out. I also have a box to chocolates to savour!!!!!”
