“I loved how Elena was able to adjust the levels of help she offered based on our experience levels. I had never worked with oil paint and have not done art outside of mandatory high school art classes while my partner had more art experience. We both left with artwork we felt proud of and are able to hang in our apartment. Elena also provided boxes for transporting our artwork via the subway. I would recommend this as a fun date night for couples, something new to do with a small friend group, or a solo activity to try new things.”

“Couldn't be happier with our oil painting class w/ Elena. She was calm, cool, collected, very knowledgeable, gentle and helpful. Neither of us has any experience with painting and we never felt as if we were out of our element or trying to do things without guidance. Elena allowed us to choose whatever wanted to paint and gave us a very helpful rundown of the main elements of a painting, most important the contrast between light and shadow. She encouraged us to go deeper into detail as we became more comfortable with the medium and tailored her style to fit the kind of teaching we each responded to. The result was an incredibly calm and relaxing 2.5 hours after which we took home 3 paintings (I finished one early and Elena encouraged me to do another).
