Do you have a salt chlorinator? no
I installed the Clear Blue system one year ago in my Caribbean pool. Installation was simple and straight-forward and there have been no problems with that end of it. Unfortunately, the led window is starting to fail; a couple of the light "bars" have faded out, so resetting the levels of the ionizer is now nearly impossible. I will alert the company and see how good their warranty is. The system took a lot of trial and error to get the pool to the point where it is now; we are definitely using less chlorine than we did prior to the installation of the ionizer, and the water does not feel or smell chlorinated. Friends of ours actually went out of their way to communicate that info to me. Electrode use looks like it will work out to about 2 units per year for our good-sized, real swimming pool. All in all, I am satisfied with the ClearBlue system, despite the above-mentioned challenges and limitations.

Your pool looks great! You can file a warranty claim for the bad controller. Please email us at support@clearblueionizer.com with a photo of the serial number and model information on the back of the controller. Include your mailing address for the replacement and phone number.

I would not have believed how well that ionizer worked unless I saw it with my own eyes. Makes maintaining a pool a so much easier.

The inline copper ionizing prongs are very expensive and only last one year it is far cheaper to by the chemicals to keep your pool water balanced

This is our first pool and we were not interested in dealing with chlorine every day, not could we afford a salt system so we went this route. We’d heard good things and are so happy with the results. We definitely would recommend purchasing an ionizer to our friends and family, very happy with our pool set up!!

Do you have a salt chlorinator? yes
Installed 2 summers ago. Set at recommended level. It did work to provide crystal clear water. But you still need to shock, adjust ph levels separately. Once good, the Ionizer does seem to hold the water balance. But, by end of first season, the copper electrodes were worn down to almost nothing. Second season I ran as is. !! It seemed to work just as well?!? Water stayed very clear. The copper in the pool water seemed, I think, to keep working without the need to replace or add more copper ions? Not sure what to expect this year- 3rd season, however, I do have my replacement electrode ready..

Going from a Salt System to an Ionizer System, I find that the ClearBlue System requires almost no attention. It is great.
