A little messy, and it was odd to have to add one of the burr spacers to make it work, but otherwise brilliant. Highly recommended.

Glad you like it. The 270Wi is one of the most innovative grinders out there!

We purchased our Baratza Sette 270i grinder around a yr ago from Cliff and Pebble. It has performed very well. I'm always impressed after a couple of grinds on a newly roasted batch of coffee beans how acurate this grinder is on weight, usually either right on the money or a couple tenths of a gram off. It is a alittle noisy but the performance is totally with it. We paired this Baratza Sette 270i grinder with a Rocket Giotto Eveluzione R espresso machine. Makes a wonderful combo, beautiful consistent shots. Both grinder and espresso machine came from Cliff and Pebble along with other needed coffee gear like the Rocket Knock Box etc...Cliff and Pebble are very easy work, great client relations. Over all a very nice grinder, go for it!

Just incredible. Fluffy grinds, no retention and my bottomless portafilter on a breville 900xl that used to channel everywhere is now producing commercial quality espresso with zero channeling. All crema! Amazing pours. Top it off with some laate art! I'd highly reccomend a funnel or purchasing the drop down portafilter holder accessory. It simply is too fluffy for its own good. I made a paper filter that's working temporarily until I get the drop down kit. This thing is messy. Love it regardless. Get it today!

I have to admit I went into this purchase with trepidation after reading some of the other website's reviews on previous models and the inconsistent weights people are getting with the 270W. Well, I can tell you that the 270Wi has solved that problem. The "i" in the 270Wi is short for "intelligent". It learns as you grind to ensure it doses nearly perfect every time. The worst it's been off is less than 1/3 of a gram! I simply can't taste the difference in such a small difference. I roast my own coffee so I see my coffee dry out over the week between roast which affects the weight of the beans and in turn will yield less weight on a timer based coffee grinder. The 270Wi is metered out by weight so it self corrects as the coffee gets lighter, assuring the correct dose everytime. There are definitely much more expensive options out there and maybe someday I might "outgrow" this grinder (unlikely) but for now I can pull nearly perfect shots every time with this grinder and it's near zero retention so I never have to worry about stale grinds. In my opinion, this is among the best grinders money can buy under $1,500 and it is certainly the most convenient. As far as reliability, I reserve the right to come back and comment in the future should the thing tank on me early but for now, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
