“I bought this grinder for my first home espresso setup. Although I don't have much experience or anything to compare it to, I can say this does the job very well. Simple and straightforward usage with the adjustable dial, on/off button, and bellows. I typically see around 0.1g of retention after several weeks of use. My palette is not refined enough to know if anything stands out in terms of taste, but I have been happy with my espresso so far.
I will say however, I decided on this grinder after doing lots of research having learned that it's recommended to do burr alignment for it. So I was prepared to do that before I started grinding any coffee beans. My unit benefitted a lot from it for sure, and I am glad I went through that process right away. It can be somewhat tedious to repeatedly test the alignment, and I do wish the alignment was better out of the box. I think it's definitely something to consider when buying this grinder, but for what it offered at this price it was not a deal breaker for me personally.”
