“It is near silent, but.... impossible to set alarm accurately as there are no increments. It also loses time gradually as the battery dies, rather than just stopping. So easy to start to run late unless you check it against another clock.... so pointless.”

Thank you for your feedback Lee. One of the characteristics of an analogue alarm clock is that the alarm time can't be set precisely like a digital clock as it is a mechanical operation to initiate the alarm. It can be set close to the time required but as your expressed, difficult to get very accurate. I am surprised that you have encountered battery power deterioration in less than one month so this could indicate a faulty battery or a faulty clock. You can rest assurred that if there is a fault with the clock then we can resolve this for you with a warranty claim. I suggest that you test the clock with a brand new battery and if it is losing time and potentially drawing too much power and causing the battery to go flat quickly then we will need to get the clock returned, tested and replaced if necessary. “Looks great and keeps time (at least at 3 months later). Arrived very quickly, and I loved that the Clock Shop included a battery in the package. It is not completely silent, more of a soft whir, but it does not tick. I can only hear it when I'm within 2ft or so, so still very quiet.”

Thank you for your feedback Anita. I am sorry that the clock is not completely silent. While they are advertised as 'silent', as there are still moving gears inside the clock, sometimes there is an very slight motor noise however not the ticking you get with a step movement.
