Hi Brett, thank you for taking time to provide feedback and review your cuckoo clock. You have purchased an original mechanical Black Forest cuckoo clock. These clocks are manufactured to the highest standards however they will require regulating as it is a mechanical clock. It isn't a fault with the clock - this means the clock may run fast or slow depending on a range of factors. It is a very simple process to regulate your cuckoo clock as detailed in the instructions. You slide the leaf on the pendulum stick up to make the clock run faster and down to make the clock run slower. Each time you make an adjustment, reset the hands to the correct time so you can see how the adjustment is working. If you clock is only half as fast/slow then you don't need to move the leaf as far next time. Once you have it regulated then your clock will keep time.
