There is a problem with the battery terminal so you have to jiggle the battery to get it to work and then it only goes for a few minutes and stops again. I have advised and sent videos and photos and asked for a replacement and instead was sent a long list of other reasons why this might not be working and things to try. The simple fact is the battery terminal is faulty and I would like a replacement. I thought buying from a proper store rather than temu would yield better results and if there was something wrong a replacement but in hindsight I should have probably gone with a cheaper temu option.

Hi Kat, Thank you for your feedback. It is disappointing to hear that the troubelshooting steps we provided were taken as a long list of 'other reasons' why the clock movement would not be working. We provide this comprehensive troubleshooting list for two reasons. We've been doing this for 30+ years and have a pretty good idea what we're talking about. The first reason is because we care about our customers and 95% of 'faulty' claims from customers are resolved with one or more of the causes listed. This means the customer can resolve the issue quickly without waiting for a replacement and provides a clear understanding of how to correctly fit and look after the clock movement long term. The second reason is that there is an obvious cost to us as a small business to pack and post a replacement and we simply ask for a little cooperation from our customers to determine that the movement is actually faulty and that the issue isn't an installation issue. If we send a replacement and it is an installation problem then the replacement movement is also incorrectly deemed faulty. At no stage did we suggest that you won't receive a replacement movement and we have requested that you simply 'try these troubleshooting tips and let us know how you go'. Rather than leave a negative product review because you don't accept that it could be anything other than a faulty movement, I would suggest that you work through the steps outlined and if the movement is indeed faulty, send a reply to the support thread and we will send you a replacement. This level of care and support is what a genuine, Australian owned and operated business provides. You don't get this from Temu. We're more than happy to work with you to resolve this. Everything arrived safely and instructions were perfect. Fitted and the old clock was brought back to life, family is glad to see it running again.
