“The new clamp worked fine. The reason that I had to replace it was because the original snapped in half when I unscrewed the set screw to replace the igniter. The set screw was very difficult to unscrew. I believe this is a defect in workmanship (possibly cross threaded) if not, then I should expect this to happen whenever I change an igniter meaning that the collar and igniter should be sold as a package and a caveat given.
Tech support would not consider refunding the purchase price nor agree that it was defective.”
“I actually bought this for the next time my igniter happens to go bad so I can use it to line up the new one. Insert it in the front of the igniter to center it in the hole.”
