“The extension is nice to have to extend the period between filling the hopper. The issue is the grates on the bottom and the now unused lid hinge for the built-in hopper of the stove. They trap pellets and I have to sweep the pellets into the bottom part, the original stove hopper, or they just sit there. There has to be a better hopper extension design, that does not require extra work.”
“It works well, but it would be cool if it was a 40 lbs hopper to fit a full two bags ins the hardware was weird. I had to jerry rig some stuff. It’s well bit but I just wanted this included in the original model because it was not cheap. Nice upgrade for sure. But I need more capacity so I may have to modify it.”
“The hopper extension is a must have, cutting down on the frequency of adding pellets. As an added bonus, the stove no longer shuts down if it takes you a moment to add fuel. You do have to lift the pellets up higher to pour them in, a drawback if you are short, as I am. This was easily alleviated by first putting the pellets in a bucket lift and pour them in. The installation was straightforward and fairly simple.”
“I can't click the 5 star rating for some reason, but I think the hopper extension rates 5 stars. In this climate, the extra 30 lbs really improves the versatility of the stove.
The hardware actually sent was a bit different from what I needed on my stove, but the company quickly mailed the correct wire harness.
Thanks for the support!”
