Alpine by ComfortBilt HP40 -Compact Small Pellet Stove Black Reviews

Does good job heating our open kitchen, dining, and living area. The small size is nice and takes up minimal space. Ash pan does terrible job catching ashes. Wish it was tighter fit.

Perfect for back of house. Have used it for a month now and heats the space perfectly with this small stove. Heats an area of about 1000 square feet and never have had it above 3. Was worried it might not be big enough but not a problem.

The little HP 40 works excellent. Easy to install. Had a couple questions about tech-support and they were extremely helpful and walked me through some steps. Would highly recommend Comfort Built Pellet Stove.

The biggest problem I have with it is the pellets hang up on the sides of the hopper. Other than that a pretty good little stove

Well I must say it's smaller than I envisioned, but I'm happy about that. For a small home it would be ideal. I'm using it in my garage. Currently it's about 24x30 and no insulation. Ceiling height is over 10' to the rafters, then it goes up to the roof. Because of this, it's not warm in there on high below about 32 degrees outside. But when I get a ceiling in it and insulation in the walls, it should do nicely. It does do a good job of taking the chill off, so I can work out there, which was the entire purpose of the purchase. The hopper holds about half a 40 pound bag and on high it lasts about 8 to 10 hours. So easy to clean, the pot rarely needs cleaned and just take a vacuum, pull the ash tray out and vacuum. Perfect everytime. I have converted all my pellet stoves to ComfortBilt, because the burn pot stays clean. The other two brands I've used the burn pot needs cleaned every few days. I currently own 3 and one is a fireplace insert which puts out great heat.

The stove looks good and works pretty well. The fire does sometimes go out on low settings and it doesn’t restart on its own. The room temperature displayed is well above actual, but I do have it installed to a 6” vertical stove pipe to the roof so the exhaust passes fairly close to the panel. I could remedy this with a wall mounted thermostat. Cons: The blower fan is loud My gas wall heater @ 3ft: 53.9 dB Comfortbilt Alpine @ 3ft 68.2 dB
