As you've encountered, flat backs come with a learning curve. To help with this, we do our best to share the tools that you'll need to enjoy them. “I love the flat back and the material doesnt agitate my ears at all! I havent taken them out since I got it. I purchase a second one to have the matching set. The little pop of the opal is perfect for day to day wear.”
“It was nice while it lasted. One earring came loose while sleeping and the back was lost. They told me it was my fault for not tightening enough. I tightened them and then another earring came loose in teh shower and went down the drain. The cool thing is since I lost one back and one front I am only down one whole earring, so I have that going for me I guess.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm so sorry to hear about the lost flat back! That's so frustrating.
As you know from experience, flat back studs do work very differently than traditional butterfly back earrings as the earring pin (the part with the bar on it) and the back hold together through a friction bond. This bond is created by a slight bend in the earring pin and is designed to be adjustable. So, if one of your flat backs was coming out too easily (they should require intentional effort to remove), then it's most likely that this just needed to be adjusted.
