Hi Melissa,
I hope you're having a lovely day so far! Thanks for reaching out about your experience. I'm sorry to hear that your new flat backs haven't worked out the way that you'd hoped! That's always frustrating! From what you describe, it sounds like your 3mm Opal Flat Back needs to be adjusted! This is completely normal and something you'll want to check regularly for all of your flat back studs, to make sure they stay nice and secure.
In case you're new to push-pin style flat backs, here's some more information about how they work, and how to adjust them so they hold securely:
Flat Back studs work pretty differently than traditional butterfly back earrings. The earring pin (the part with the design on it) and the back (with its hollow column) hold together through a friction bond. This bond is created by the slight bend in the earring pin, and you can make the bond tighter or looser by adjusting the bend in the earring pin. We recommend that your flat backs should be tight enough that they require intentional effort to remove. Since the pin bend is adjustable, it can shift slightly through normal use, so this is another reason to check your studs regularly to readjust.
You can watch a quick how to video and find all of this information (and more) via QR code-linked videos that we include with every flat back order. We want you to have all of the tools you'll need to fully enjoy your new flat back studs.
