“Too small for me, but I love that there are different size options for different ears! One star less as it would be nice to be able to pick the exact size when purchasing instead of having to purchase in addition if you need a smaller or larger length than 6mm and 8mm.”
“The 6mm was too long on my cartilage and my hair would get caught. I know 6mm is seen as the average but was too big for me. Both 6 of the 5mm backings to switch out with all my piercings so whenever a new stud comes in, I just put the 6mm backing in storage and use the 5mm.”
“Didn't stay with my squiggle back, already lost the back and the earring from something pulling it out after just 2 days. Not sure if the back wasn't fitting with the front or what?”
Hi Annie,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm so sorry to hear about the lost flat back pieces! That's so frustrating.
As you know from experience, flat back studs do work very differently than traditional butterfly back earrings as the earring pin (the part with the bar on it) and the back hold together through a friction bond. This bond is created by a slight bend in the earring pin and is designed to be adjustable. So, if one of your flat backs was coming out too easily (they should require intentional effort to remove), then it's most likely that this just needed to be adjusted.
All of this information (and more) is included in the shipping insert and via QR code links with every flat back order as we want you to have all of the tools you'll need to fully enjoy your new flat backs.
