Carrot Cake Cookie Bites Reviews

4 Rating 1 Reviews
I enjoyed the carrot cake cookie bites, they had a decent flavour that seemed to get better the more I ate of them. I would say they tasted mostly of 'christmas spice' (some vague combination of cinammon, ginger and nutmeg) with an underlying fruitiness that was the most prominent part of the flavour. My guess would be the 'fruitiness' comes from the carrot, though weirdly it seemed to taste more like orange or a very sugary citrus or something. I'm only knocking these a star for two reasons - the first is that there's no substitute for carrot cake icing in the biscuits, so they fail to deliver fully on the promised flavour (understandable given the constraints of the format), and the second is that I just don't see why you would ever purchase these over the pain au chocolate bites, which were superior in almost every way. I was hoping there would be some clever trick or nuance to the flavour that would elevate them in the way Cutter and Squidge so often seems to manage, but (to my tongue at least) these were missing that Cutter and Squidge magic.
