“Some of the pieces in this box tasted pretty amazing – I loved the juicy vinegar-and-tomato in my jar of Spiced Tomato Chutney with raisins richly and unexpectedly complementing the taste beautifully and the multi-faceted flavour notes found in the Seeded Buttermilk Crackers turning from one taste to the next on the tongue and fusing together to create a complex gourmet experience. Personally, I think the Sweet Chilli Nuts could be improved but appreciate its halal status as finding anything with a soy saucy theme to it these days is still hard to come by. Being Scottish, the Drinks Biscuits were quite strong and I imagine taste best with the tomato relish which couldn’t be tried together as the jar is too small to cover the entire range of flatbreads, crackers, and biscuits in this box. The one item I detested was the West Country Apple Chutney overloaded with sugar like a weird dessert that confused my mind being presented with savoury crackers that does NOTHING at all to go with them and made me green under the gills. Writing this review months on still makes me feel queasy at the memory. The jar is still sitting open and near-full in the cupboard and will have to be thrown away as the taste appeals to no-one and has probably gone mouldy.”
