“The cake was very nice, but somehow not as wonderful as their chocolate cakes are. That might just be my own personal taste, but I think a "wow" factor was missing. The custard was great, but I would have personally preferred less jam, which made the cake sickly sweet. I would have like more of the fresh strawberries in with the cake, which would have made the sponge more fresh and moist, and also more meringue pieces inside the cake, as opposed to being used just as decoration.”
