“I am reviewing this cake purely based on the photos on the website. It looked lovely and I ordered it to be delivered in Scotland and paid £15 for DFL to deliver it next day. They failed to deliver it on the day, or the next day, and offered delivery after they had been storing it for 4 days. C&S ordered it to be destroyed and refunded me in full. This was good of them but did not mitigate the disappointment of no birthday cake :(”

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the courier was unable to deliver your order and, after it remained in their network for several days, we made the decision to have the cake destroyed as we could no longer guarantee its quality. As soon as this was confirmed, we issued a full refund. While we're pleased we could resolve the financial aspect quickly, we completely appreciate that this could not make up for the disappointment of missing the birthday celebration.

“Ordered cake in advance and was delivered one day before party.
It was packaged well with cooling bags. Date of delivery very hot day and sadly courier just left on doorstep but I was able to retrieve quick smart and put in fridge.
Next day cake was taken out of packaging and was still lovely and fresh tasting - everyone enjoyed.
I misinterpreted the Happy Birthday gifting sleeve as thought this was a ribbon but it’s just another box cake sits in.”
