“I detest shortbreads for the dry, lumpy texture, bland taste, and that zingy electric shock that shoots through the teeth chewing down on it but gave these a chance for being pretty and all-natural, choosing them for the Earl Grey threads running through the batter with a lemon essence. Unlike all the rest I’ve ever tentatively tried through familial offerings, these are the perfect texture in moistness and grain, flavoursome, and pleasant and painless to chew. I loved them so far I couldn’t stop myself eating one after another and will continue to buy these PERMANENTLY. They are beautiful in taste AND appearance. It was NOT a mistake to have tried these – I am pleasantly surprised and 100% satisfied. And their being halal is amazing, too.”
“Love the taste of Earl Grey. The flavours come through very well. Not sure if this is a negative or now... but as a shortbread, the texture was soggy. There was no snap to it. I bought 2 of these and the Vanilla one, all have the same texture. The Earl Grey one just about got away with it because of the flavour combo.”
