We are happy to hear that the Essential Kit itself feels high quality to you, but we fully understand that the smell of the Guard case affected your experience, and that is not what we want. In some cases, a strong material odor can happen when the case has been packed closed for some time, and washing it once with warm water and mild soap, then leaving it in a well ventilated place for 24 to 48 hours usually helps.
