“So, first thing. I ordered this box the day it was advertised as available on the site (I check the site daily.) This was around April 10th. The description and advertisements all over Instagram and the site said that it would for sure be a SURPRISE to everyone who ordered. That is basically the reason I ordered it, I like the anticipation—even if I’m completely disappointed. Anyways, a month later, I see all of the Instagram posts from influencers (who obviously received the box for free or at a discount to advertise for Decor Steals) revealing what was in the box. Look, I understand that they needed to try to push sales if they weren’t getting enough, but to lie to the public by using the "surprise" element as a sales tactic making people like me purchase the box, and then actually revealing what was in the box way before it shipped for more profit is a very, very poor way to establish trust with potential long term customers. I couldn’t believe it! I was so disappointed and honestly pretty mad. I felt like I was scammed. There was no way to get my money back, I still had to wait until "the end of May" to receive mine and now I knew I didn’t even like anything in the box. Such a disappointment. Secondly, my order didn’t ship out until June. I actually contacted the company because it hadn’t arrived and got an email back stating that "as advertised, steal it boxes were not going to be shipped out until the end of May." Okay? It was June… and my order had not yet shipped. I ordered right away in the beginning on April and had now seen many more posts on Instagram of people receiving there box, even from people who had posted that they ordered the box early May!! I felt pretty jipped. Funny thing, the same exact day, I received another email stating that "your decor steals items has shipped." How ironic. Lastly, I received the box and was pretty disappointed in not only the limited assortment of style of the items (which I had already known about because of the dishonest bait of the "surprise" tactic being displayed all over social media) but also the quality of the products. I mean, I know that the whole black metal and fake farmhouse stuff is in but not everyone likes only that grey and black style. The plant was completely falling apart and just looks dingy. The mirror is okay, if I was into gold. The runner was just terrible and the other stuff was just fake and cheap. Also, I know how much items like that cost wholesale. I own a business. The amount that they paid for that cheap stuff was no where near our $100. Sorry decorsteals, I have to be that person. You could have filled that box with $50 worth of beautiful quality items and still made profit and most of all, returning customers who would buy even more from your store. I would suggest investing in some more quality items in the future and NOT revealing the products—when you make a promise, you should keep it—especially to loyal customers.”

“I loved the wooden risers and the antique mirror. The faux plant had at least a dozen leaves that fell off in the box. The rest of the items were decent. It was fun for my kids and I to open up the “mystery box”.”

“Out of all the items in the box, there were only 2 that I was excited about. One of which was the olive tree but it had lost a lot of leaves and didn’t look it’s best. I will plan to use these items as gifts but I only plan to use one of the items in my home decor. I am very disappointed in the style of and items included.”
