This works amazing! Although the bottom metal piece continues to fall off no matter what glue I use. I only hand wash (do not have a dishwasher). If you have any problems with gnats or fruit flies and this comes back into stock? Snatch it up!!!

This product is very cute, but since we’re still in Winter (when there are no fruit flies), I can’t say whether or not it will work. While the description on your page gave instructions on what to use to attract the bugs, I had forgotten what they were and no instructions came with the product. Also, (and this is hard to explain) it came in a box with a styrofoam square in the bottom as well as on the top to firmly hold the glass in place. I ordered two and when I opened the first box, I removed the top piece of styrofoam and removed the main body of the beehive. The top of the hive was open. There didn’t appear to be anything else in the box except for the bottom piece of styrofoam. I removed that and threw it in the trash. When I removed the bottom piece of styrofoam from the second box, a little “something”, wrapped in white paper, fell out. I unwrapped it to find the “dome” of the beehive. I then pulled the discarded styrofoam from the trash, and sure enough, there was the lid for the first one, securely stuck in a little indentation on the bottom of the styrofoam (facing the bottom of the box). Anyone who threw the box away without removing that bottom piece of styrofoam would never know there was another piece hidden under there.

Hi Sharon, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We’re so glad to hear that you’re enjoying the look of your new beehive trap, and we hope it works wonders once the fruit flies come around! 😊 Simply add a small amount of sweet liquid or apple cider vinegar, and let the trap do the work! We appreciate your feedback about the instructions and packaging. We’re sorry for the confusion with the styrofoam, and we completely understand how that could have been frustrating. We’ll certainly take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our packaging process to ensure a smooth unboxing experience. We’re thrilled you’re giving the trap a try, and we’re confident that when the weather warms up, it will do its job beautifully. Thanks again for being a part of our community, and we look forward to hearing how it works for you in the future!
