“I love this feeder. A friend who had one never had birds use it, so to draw birds in, I moved an outside bird feeder near the window. It worked! We now have 1 to 3 birds at a time using it and I have moved the outside bird feeder back to its original location. As others stated, It is not wide enough to fit the window and there were gaps at the top and bottom. I cut the styrofoam that the feeder was packed into blocks to “build out” the width of the window and used thin sheets of styrofoam to fill in top and bottom gaps. Because my window frames are white, it looks like it was made to look this way and very little air leaks in from outside. I am happy with it.”
“The plexiglass shield is brittle and breaks easily. They don’t provide a replacement. They suggest buying another complete feeder. It doesn’t fit my window because of the threshold is higher than the sill. By rebuilding the window opening I can make it work. Not worth doing business with this company.”
“I received the Outdoor Proof Breadbox in Window Bird Feeder last week and installed it today. It's a beautiful well made piece and I know I'll enjoy watching our feathered friends through the window box. My only issue is it needs weatherproofing, as there are many gaps once window box is installed. I added nano tape to keep it from falling out and temporarily placed strips of white duct tape to areas exposed to the outdoors. When I looked back at the attached video I noticed the content creator had the same issues. There's a opening on each side at the bottom of the slides and at the top middle above where feed is poured into. Other than these small fixable issues this feeder is gorgeous.”
