“I'm not a Cushman expert by any means but this trans seal mounting surface is way to wide for the two speed trans in my 1959 Super Eagle. This seal required machining to keep it from rubbing on the input pulley where the seal surface is welded to the pulley's back side. I ended up purchasing two seals just in case one of them was damaged during the width modification. My trans input shaft area is only about and 1/8 of an inch to the C clip holding the outer bearing race. The seal is about 3/8 of and inch wide, requiring me to cut it down to 3/16 of an inch. It could just be my particular trans because I have never done this seal replacement before.”
